DRIVER SAFETY
PEPSICO – TEST Drive
TEST Drive is a simple, efficient, and effective driver behavior educational tool. Developed in 2012, and based on years of research and field practice, PepsiCo identified the easiest and most efficient driver techniques for vehicle collision prevention for their more than 20,000 drivers. These correct behavior modeling concepts are based on the premise that nearly all accidents are preventable. For those few that are not, these products can minimize the impact.
PepsiCo enlisted World View to create a range of digital and print deliverables, in multiple languages, to launch TEST Drive, its comprehensive driver training program—one of 35 projects World View has created for PepsiCo in our over 20 year relationship with the brand.

To date, TEST Drive has become the PepsiCo standard in 27 countries. World View produced the translation of the videos and collateral contributions for the world wide roll-out in 13 languages and are available online to the PepsiCo family 24/7.
The samples of deliverables featured in this case study are some core components of TEST Drive, a comprehensive program comprised of many elements including Train the Trainer, Trainer certification, and driver behind-the-wheel coaching.

This dramatic, but hopeful, cautionary tale is part of an ongoing campaign, Don't Walk By, to help managers understand the multiple levels that people are effected by unsafe behavior. Our expertise in working with delicate subject matter, and gaining the trust that a persons tragic story will be told with dignity to help others, helped make this a powerful message. The client reported back that after this presentation, the highest levels of Pepsico officers personally encouraged him to continue the good work. The results in the field were dramatic as well.

MACHINE SAFETY TRAINING
Lockout/Tagout and Machine Safety General Awareness E-Learning Course & Video
Improperly used, industrial equipment poses extreme dangers. World View produced a comprehensive and hard-hitting eLearning course enabling employees to understand machinery hazards and safeguards at PespiCo facilities, so that they may work hazard-free. In the course, learners discover common types of machinery or equipment hazards, such as those involving rotating motion, thermal components, and gravity.
The training points vividly communicate requirements of OSHA and the PepsiCo Machinery & Equipment Safety Standard, designed to prevent employees from reaching hazard points on a machine either intentionally or unintentionally. These standards define how and when machine safeguards need to be installed and how and when to label equipment hazards that do not have safeguards.

PEPSICO ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY TRAINING
Ammonia Safety Training E-Learning Course & Video
Ammonia can be the refrigerant of choice for industrial cooling applications in beverage manufacturing. Safely contained, it poses no threat. But an ammonia release has the potential to result in serious injury and death.
World View worked closely with PepsiCo safety experts to create a highly interactive eLearning course to educate employees on how robust equipment design and construction standards, proper maintenance practices, and standard operating procedures, all help to reduce the likelihood of an ammonia release. The course shows how ammonia detectors and sensory detection aid in detecting ammonia so that appropriate response actions can be initiated in the event of a release.

EMPLOYEE HEALTH
Pepsico's front line workers jobs are physical, some having to lift as much as 30 to 60,000 lbs of product a day! They are as much athletes as the pro's on the field. Celebrity athletes like Jimmy Johnson, Serena Williams, NFL linebacker Greg Beikert, and the athletic trainer for the World Series Champion San Fransisco Giants agree. They share their experiences and tips so Pepsi athletes can be at their best.
Veteran employees also show how they've applied these techniques and what's kept them on the field for years. World View helped Pepsi take massive strides in educating their work force about the benefits of healthy living, at home, work, and play. These videos created a culture built around proper: nutrition, hydration, stretching before work and play, and sleep. |
